Spiritual Disciplines Inventory

Below are 10 diagnostic questions to better help you gauge what spiritual fruit you are producing as you grow in your relationship with Jesus. To get the most out of it please be honest with where you are right now, not where you want to be. You will not receive any results from this assessment, but we encourage you to talk to Jesus about your answers and ask Him to help you hear what your next step of faith is. Then share the results with your spouse or a trusted friend.

Spiritual Disciplines Inventory

1. What 3 words would you use to describe your relationship with Jesus?

2. How often do you spend time reading the Bible?

3. What gets in the way of your Bible reading?

4. How would you describe your prayer life?

5. What are the most prominent prayers in your life right now?

6. Read Galatians 5:16-24 and answer the question below:

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

In what ways do you see the fruit of the Spirit in your life or how do you see them lacking?
